Malir has one big advantage over the rest of Karachi: the airport is right next door. For an early flight or a late landing, that closeness is worth real money and real sleep, and it makes Malir a natural base for trips out of the city too.

Malir and Malir Cantt are not the same thing
Worth getting straight, because it changes how a delivery works.
Malir Cantt is the cantonment, administered by Cantonment Board Malir rather than by the city, with entry through numbered check posts. Malir Town is the surrounding civilian area: Model Colony, Saudabad, Khokhrapar, Kala Board, Jinnah Square, Kausar Town, Gharibabad and Quaidabad.

The airport run
Jinnah International is roughly 7 to 10 km from most of Malir, about 15 to 25 minutes on a clear run. A congested airport approach can stretch that to 35 or 45 minutes, so an early flight still deserves a margin, but this is the shortest airport run of any residential district we serve.

Leaving the city from Malir
The other thing Malir is well placed for. The National Highway at Quaidabad is roughly 10 to 15 km out and Super Highway access roughly 12 to 20 km, so a Hyderabad run or a drive north begins without crossing Karachi first.

Most routes into town feed onto Shahrah e Faisal, which carries a very large share of Karachi’s traffic. In the evening peak the upper end of those ranges is the honest number, and a round trip to Clifton is close to two hours of driving before you have done anything.
That is the clearest argument for a driver in this part of the city. You get the time back.
