Most wedding car problems are timing problems

Not car problems. Families in Karachi tend to decide which car they want fairly early and then leave the booking until the fortnight when everything else is also happening, by which point the car they decided on is at someone else’s wedding.

This is the countdown that avoids that. It assumes a December wedding, which is the hardest case, because December is the peak of the Karachi season.

Eight weeks out

Fix the dates and the venues. Not the timings, just the dates and where each function is. That is enough for us to quote and enough for us to hold vehicles.

Decide the shape, not the detail. Groom car only, groom plus family cars, or the full fleet with guest transport. The three shapes are costed in what a Karachi wedding actually costs in cars.

Call now if you want a specific car. This is the week that matters for a December weekend. Six to eight weeks ahead is the minimum, not the cautious option.

Six weeks out

Confirm the groom car. This is the one that ends up in every photograph and the one with the least substitutability. Choosing the groom car covers sedan against SUV and why the venue decides it.

Count the guests who need moving. Not your guest list, the people who genuinely have no transport. Guest transport sizing turns that number into coaches.

The December sell out order: Fortuner first, then the Coaster, then the Mercedes C180 and the Land Cruiser. If you want one of those four on a December weekend, six weeks is the line.

Four weeks out

Lock the full fleet. Every car, for every function.

Decide on decoration. Whether you are using your own florist or want us to arrange it, and in which colours. Decoration is quoted separately from the vehicle.

Multi day bookings close faster than single days. We will not split a fleet across two weddings on the same evening, so a three function booking takes the whole set out of circulation at once.

Two weeks out

Send the running order. Venues, arrival times, and the order of events for each function. This is what the driver briefing is built from.

Name a single point of contact. One person we call on the day. Not the groom, who will not be answering his phone, and ideally not the bride’s father, who will be answering everyone else’s.

Confirm any venue access quirks. Service gates, parking restrictions, where the baraat is meant to arrive. Most Karachi venues have one, and it is better found now than at the gate.

The week of

Expect the timings to move. They always do. Tell us as soon as you know, because a changed arrival time can change which driver takes the booking.

Confirm the decoration fitting. Flowers go on the morning of the function, not the night before, so they still look right under the lights in the evening.

The day

The car arrives before you need it. Morning for a daytime function, early afternoon for an evening one. That is deliberate margin, not eagerness.

For rukhsati, the car is staged. Positioned at the right gate, facing the right way, before the couple comes out. Not circling the block waiting for a call. It is the tightest window of the day and the one the photographer cares about most.

There is a backup. Every wedding booking has a spare vehicle and driver held back. A breakdown on a wedding day is not something anyone recovers from afterwards, so we hold a spare rather than promise a fast repair.

Call anyway. We take same week bookings when something is free, and outside the December peak something usually is. What changes when you book late is not the price, which does not move by season, but the choice.
